Dear Empathic Soul,

We are approaching an astrologically significant event that holds the potential to deeply impact our emotional and spiritual well-being — the Full Moon in Aries, while the Sun harmoniously aligns on the opposite side in Libra.

This celestial phenomenon, set to grace our skies on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:57 AM Pacific Standard Time at 6 ° Aries, combines the dynamic, assertive energy of Aries with the harmonious and balanced nature of Libra. As an empath, you are attuned to the subtle energies of the universe, and this is an opportune time to harness the transformative power of this cosmic alignment.

Full Moon in Aries is the energy of Initiative.

Photo by Xuan Nguyen on Unsplash

Aries is a fiery, bold, and action-oriented sign. During this Full Moon, you may feel a surge of energy and a desire to take initiative in your life. It’s a time when your inner fire can burn brightly, driving you to pursue your goals with enthusiasm and determination. This is good news if you are mid completion on a project.

But the Moon is a symbol for emotions, and this would be a good time to slow down and feel them, versus plowing through and ignoring them. It is a good time for more assertiveness for your own needs and to take action to pursue your goals. If you want to take a bubble bath, don’t shy away and do so.

Full moons are generally associated with heightened emotions, and Aries is a passionate and fiery sign. And as you will learn in this blog, with the Human Design Gates in the Spleen and Ajna, these emotions may be grounded in judgment (intuition) or opinion (thoughts).

At first glance these two seem to be clashing with each other. But when we dive further in this blog you will see in the enlightened state they are a harmonious compliment. This combination can lead to intense feelings and a strong desire to address emotional matters head-on. Emotions may come to the surface more prominently during this time as the Moon swells. I will share with you here, how to soften in compassion while still being in integrity.

It’s important to remember that astrology is a belief system and not a science. The interpretations and significance of astrological events like the full moon in Aries are highly subjective and can vary widely among individuals.

AND on top of that…

Healing from narcissistic abuse is a complex and individualized process, and it’s recommended approach is through evidence-based therapies, support networks, and professional help if necessary. But I found these modalities in the blog to help me as well.

Here are a few ways to harness this Full Moon energy for your Soul’s journey:

Now to the Human Design chart for the Full Moon.

Human Design

This is the Human Design chart for the Full Moon in Aries on Sept 29, 2023.

There is a Generator energy that is very linear and logical. A 3/5 Profile which is the energy of undesired experiences that mold you into a badass leader. The split definition symbolizes there are two major themes, charge on and wait, find clarity and perfection. And the Incarnation Cross is of Service. I will share about the IC at the end of this blog.

The Sun is in Gate 18, of Correction. In the I Ching it is called Work on what is Spoiled. You can find this gate in your chart, and the chart above, in the Spleen Center. The brown, bottom left triangle pointing to the right. This center is energy for survival, health, and intuition. When the Spleen is colored in and defined, this gives the holder consistent experiences of these above themes. When it is white the holder feels more sensitive and amplifies fear, and experiences intuition in a variety of ways.

Due to my knowledge of the Gene Keys, I also notice in this chart, the partner gate to gate 18 is gate 17 in the Ajna Center. The green upside down triangle. This center is where we process ideas and inspiration into logic, manifestation, and concrete concepts. It doesn’t have to be so, but when one is unconscious and in the ego, the defined Ajna can be just that, fixed in its ways, not open to other ideas and very judgmental.

To clarify this energy even more we can look to the Gene Key 18. In the shadow of this energy you or the Narcissist may be holding judgement about something. But if this can be recognized then it can transform up into the Healing Power of the Mind. And it transmutes into Integrity, then Perfection as noted in the Gene Keys. There is an opportunity with Gate 18 and 17 both opposing each other during this Full Moon to illuminate where you, ( or someone else through superiority) are holding yourself victim to your judgements and feeling inferior.

Just as the Gene Key shows, you are not stuck in what your chart shows. Each, undefined (white) or defined (colored in) Ajna or Spleen have the ability to flex to more steadfastness or flexibility! What you see in your chart is a start point in your energy roadmap. Your Human Design chart is showing you where you can start and which direction you can grow toward.

How can we shift out of a judgment mindset to embracing that imperfection is perfect?

Photo by Kien Do on Unsplash

Shifting from a judgmental mindset to an understanding that imperfection is a part of life and can be beautiful in its own way involves a change in perspective and a conscious effort to cultivate acceptance and compassion. Here are some steps to help you make this shift:

Practice Self-Compassion

Cultivate mindfulness and awareness

Identify the critical inner voice that tends to judge yourself and others harshly.

Focus on Growth, Not Perfection:

Cultivate a sense of gratitude

Reflect on Beauty in Imperfection:

Practice Patience

Remember that shifting from a judgmental mindset to one that embraces imperfection as part of the human experience is a gradual process. It requires self-awareness, self-compassion, and a commitment to personal growth. Over time, you can develop a more accepting and open-hearted perspective that allows you to see the beauty in imperfection.

Human Design Gates of this Full Moon

Gate 18: Correction

The Sun is in Gate 18 from Sept 28 to Oct 3, 2023.

In Human Design, Gate 18 is often referred to as the “Gate of Correction,” and it is located in the Spleen Center.

This gate is associated with the energy of discernment, a keen eye for details, and the ability to identify and correct what has been spoilt or gone awry. It’s linked to the Hexagram 18 in the I Ching, which is often translated as “Work on What Has Been Spoiled” and signifies the need for rectifying mistakes or addressing issues that have arisen. The three lines on top mean Mountain and the three lines below mean Air.

Therefore = Wind blows low on Mountain. Which means maintain a gentle mind and yet strong back. The advice here is hold your tongue and opinion until clarity is found and or needed.

We as empaths can relate to this I Ching very well. It urges you to turn poison into medicine and repair within you what has been criticized by the Narcissist to bring you success (and or healing).

Whether or not you have this gate defined in your chart, use this activation now to harness its power.

Discernment: Gate 18 represents the capacity to discern what needs correction or improvement, through the Spleen’s intuition, whether in one’s own life or in the world around them. The energy of this gate emphasizes the importance of restoring balance and harmony when things have gone astray for this is a Libra sign Gate.

Gate 18 may sometimes lead to perfectionist tendencies, as individuals strive to correct and improve things to the best of their abilities. However, the energy of this gate can also involve a desire to help others correct their mistakes or overcome obstacles.

Gate 18 Affirmation : “With a discerning eye and a commitment to improvement, I embrace the power of correcting what has been spoilt, finding practical solutions, and restoring balance in all aspects of my life.”

Gate 17: Opinions

From Sept 28 — October 2023 the Earth & Moon are in Gate 17 of Opinions. The I Ching is translated as “Following.”

The Zodiac this Gate resides in is Aries. It represents the ability to express your opinions and perspectives with authority and confidence. It’s about having a distinct point of view and being able to communicate it effectively. While expressing your opinions with conviction, Gate 17 also encourages open-minded communication. It’s about being willing to listen to others’ perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue.

It is located in the Ajna Center. It is associated with the energy of opinions, perspectives, and the capacity to share one’s point of view with clarity and conviction. This gate is linked to the Hexagram 17 in the I Ching, which symbolizes following a leader or mentor.

The Gate 17 description encompasses several key aspects:

This gate carries an energy of seeking clarity through discussion and sharing of ideas. It’s about engaging in conversations to refine your own thoughts and to gain insights from others.

Gate 17 can indicate a potential for influence and leadership. It suggests that your ability to express your opinions can inspire and guide others, making you a natural spokesperson or advocate for your beliefs.

The energy of this gate encourages sharing wisdom gained from your experiences. Your opinions are often backed by personal insights and a deep understanding of the subject matter.

Your ability to convey your ideas in a way that resonates with others can lead to positive change and growth.

Gate 17 invites you to balance the strength of your convictions with a willingness to adapt and learn. While holding your opinions strongly, it’s important to remain open to new information that might enrich your understanding.

Gate 17 Affirmation:

“With unwavering clarity and respectful openness, I confidently express my opinions, sharing wisdom and contributing to meaningful dialogue.”

Now on to the Tarot card for this event…

What is the best tarot card for this wisdom for the theme of shifting out of judgement and fixed opinion?

In Tarot, there are several cards that can be associated with the theme of shifting out of judgment and fixed opinion. One of the most relevant cards for this theme is “The Hanged Man.”

The Hanged Man is a card that often represents a shift in perspective, letting go of old beliefs, and gaining a new understanding. Here’s why it can be a meaningful card for this Full Moon in Aries with the Sun opposite in Libra:

Surrender: The Hanged Man depicts a figure hanging upside-down, suspended by one foot. This symbolizes a willingness to let go and surrender to a new way of thinking. It suggests that sometimes, in order to gain wisdom and a fresh perspective, we need to release our preconceived notions and judgments.

Change in Perspective: The inverted position of The Hanged Man encourages a change in perspective. It invites you to see things from a different angle, which can help you break free from fixed opinions and judgments.

Patience and Acceptance: The card also embodies qualities of patience and acceptance. It encourages you to be patient with yourself and others as you navigate this shift away from judgment. It reminds you that it’s okay to embrace a period of uncertainty and reflection.

Inner Transformation: The Hanged Man represents inner transformation and growth. When you let go of judgments and fixed opinions, you create space for personal evolution and the development of greater wisdom.

When working with The Hanged Man card or any Tarot card, it’s essential to consider the card’s symbolism in the context of your own situation and the specific question or theme you are exploring. Tarot is a tool for self-reflection and insight, and the interpretation of the cards can vary based on the reader’s intuition and the context of the reading.

As you contemplate The Hanged Man or any Tarot card related to your theme, reflect on how it applies to your life and the steps you can take to shift away from judgment and fixed opinions toward greater understanding and wisdom.

It’s important to remember that tarot is a wisdom guidance. Some people find meaning and guidance in astrology, and tarot, while others do not. Whether or not you believe in astrology, tarot or Human Design, it can be a symbolic time for setting intentions and initiating new projects or changes in your life.

Overall, a Full Moon opposing the Sun is a potent moment in the lunar cycle to release emotions ad patterns that are holding you back and causing you pain as you aspire to transform into your authentic self.

One more note…

It’s interesting to note that Mars, the ruling planet of Aries, is in Libra opposite the Moon. With Libra slow to action and weighing all options, the planet of action will be pulled back a bit. And may be activating passive aggression.

Mars is in Gate 32 in the Spleen. This gate is called Continuity. This energy is agile and adaptable in any situation. A chameleon is a good depiction. It may feel like you are moving fast in slow motion.

As always, keep in mind that the interpretation of gates in Human Design can vary based on an individual’s chart and the interactions with other gates, channels, and centers. For a more personalized understanding of the Gate’s significance in your Human Design chart, consider consulting a certified Human Design professional.

The Incarnation Cross of Service

Photo by Hanna Morris on Unsplash

To learn about what the incarnation cross is in general, listen to learn more here. This is a personal life theme. This means that this life path and evolution theme is solely for your Soul to evolve and does not need to influence anyone directly. Although depending on your Profile, being 4, 5, or 6 this will spill over and help others around you.

Famous people with Life Destiny of Service are Brigitte Bardot, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Emile Claus.

“Your purpose in life is to provide service for the betterment of society. Your cool logical assessment of situations that need improving is a much-sought-after gift. You may have a tendency to indulge in seeing only problems and to become overly critical.” The Book of Destinies

But you need support in order to gain collaboration for improving them. You may fall prey into serving in capacities that drain your energy and pull you from your path’s purpose.

Photo by eberhard 🖐 grossgasteiger on Unsplash

Remember, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.

Make sure to know that service is your way, and following your Type’s Strategy and Inner Authority’s voice to know when and how to serve. You can maintain your passionate heart, just be tuned into your clarity to avoid being taken advantage of. With the Sun in Gate 18, you have a keen judgment and the power to take on the World.

Be careful not to be stuck in your victim mind due to your actions outside of your Type’s Strategy. You have integrity that desires for society to operate at most optimal without restrictions. You may feel compelled to jump in and fix, just make sure you are serving out of response if you are a Generator or Manifesting Generator, out of invitation if you are a Projector, inform those you wish to help if you are a Manifestor, and wait 28 days to talk it over if that is the path you should help if you are a Reflector.
