Fortunately, there are various methods and techniques available to help us reduce anxiety and restore a sense of balance and harmony. One such method that has gained popularity in recent years is the use of sacred acoustic brainwave audio tracks to elevate our vibrational frequency.

Understanding Brainwave States

In the latest podcast episode on the Empath Rising podcast, we discovered the transformative power of binaural beats with our guest Karen Newell.

Karen Newell’s, at Sacred Acoustics, “recordings were used in a pilot study with a psychiatrist in New York City. And she prescribed a certain set of recordings to her patients and she measured using the state trait anxiety inventory, very commonly used to measure anxiety in psychiatric research. 
And she found that after two weeks of listening. People’s anxiety had reduced by 26%. And that was in combination with therapy.
Those who had only their regular therapy, in her control group, experienced reduced anxiety by 7%. So that was quite a remarkable difference. 
And so with some of her patients, who choose to do so, they find not only does their anxiety reduce, but relationship problems start to resolve.
They get better sleep. They’re able to focus. 
For example there was a medical student who found she could sleep better and perform on her exams better because due to listening to the sacred acoustic tracks. 
There was one person who actually had been trying to leave a toxic relationship for years. And after listening to these, somehow he was able to do it.”

Understanding Brainwave States

Before we delve into the world of sacred acoustic brainwaves, it’s essential to have a basic understanding of brainwave states. Our brain operates at different frequencies, which correspond to various states of consciousness. These frequencies are categorized into five main types: Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

Types of Brainwaves

1. Delta (0.5–4 Hz): The slowest brainwave frequency, associated with deep sleep and unconscious processes.

2. Theta (4–8 Hz): Associated with deep relaxation, creativity, and the dream state.

3. Alpha (8–13 Hz): Associated with a relaxed yet alert state, often experienced during meditation or moments of inspiration.

4. Beta (13–30 Hz): Associated with our waking state, active problem-solving, and everyday consciousness.

5. Gamma (30–100 Hz): Associated with heightened cognitive functions and peak awareness.

The Role of Brainwaves in Anxiety

Anxiety is often linked to an overactive Beta brainwave state, where the mind is racing and constantly analyzing thoughts and situations. This heightened state of alertness can lead to stress, restlessness, and emotional turmoil. To alleviate anxiety, we need to shift our brainwave state towards the more relaxed Alpha and Theta frequencies, where we can find inner calm and mental clarity.
