Sagittarius November 22 — December 21, 2022. This zodiac energy is very easy going, and mutable with loads of fire and transformational potential. With the New Moon also at the beginning of Sagittarius this year, the opportunity to expand and transform is supporting you now!

 Plant those seeds of intention for abundance, love, and freedom.

If you have the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or any planets in Sagittarius, then look in your chart to see what house Sagittarius resides in and this energy will influence that aspect of your life. If you have no planets, the house theme and planets opposite in the chart will be affected.

Characteristics are adventurous, dogmatic, exuberant, inspired, jovial, optimistic, upbeat, wise, and zealous.

The symbol is the Archer, as a centaur, half-horse/ half-human creature that represents the melding of our animal and spiritual natures. The ruling planet is Jupiter (aka Zeus) and represents expansion, understanding, growth, and good fortune.

Sagittarius Self Care

1. Love your Liver 

The areas of the body Sagittarius rules are the the liver, thighs and buttocks, hips, sacrum, and sciatic nerve. 

Reduce the burden on your liver. And limit your intake of alcohol. I know kill joy during the holidays. 

Choose organic over conventionally grown produce whenever you can.

2. Strengthen your muscles

As Sagittarius represents travel and movement, exploring the wold while learning, it makes sense that the thighs that support your legs for movement would be connected. 

If those muscles are overly tight or weak, it can lead to lower back pain, and sciatic nerve impingement. Exercise regularly and take magnesium for muscle spasms. Eat a banana a day. 

Also, if you have a desk job, get up and stretch and ground barefoot outside every so often to honor your body.

3. Stabilize Hip Health 

Move your body in ways that strengthens and stabilizes your hip socket and surrounding muscles. Pilates, balance and one legged exercises, and making sure your diet is rich in bone-building nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, Vitamin D, and Vitamin K to help prevent osteoporosis. 

4. Avoid Sports Injuries

With the Sagittarius’ abundance of energy and competitive nature, engaging in sports is a healthy outlet. 

You may push yourself in order to win at all costs, and you push yourself beyond your limits. Don’t forget to warm up, and and cool down, and know it is ok to not win ALL the time. 

The sport you enjoy is for the team work, process, exercise and lessons.

5. Eat Liver-Supporting Foods

Indulge in onions, garlic, cauliflower, kale, and broccoli to maintain liver health. 

Curb you comsumption of high-fat foods, synthetic additives, and foods grown with pesticides. 

6. Don’t Eat on the Run 

Slow down, enjoy your meal and allow your body to process and digest the food that nourishes you. 

If you are too busy on the run, pack healthy snacks so you don’t pull through the drive-thru. Such as baby carrots, nuts, trail mix, banana, and organic energy bars. 

7. Explore International Cuisine

Enjoy your adventurous side, and eat dishes from around the globe. Try new restaurants, find food fairs, and Ethnic food markets.

8. Eat Health- Supporting Foods

Many healthy foods are associated with Sagittarius. Eat and enjoy olives and olive oil that is rich in healthy fats and antioxidants, hazelnuts tossed into a salad, and quinoa and amaranth for sustained energy boost. 

9. Get a Thai Massage

This form of massage is perfect for the high energy Sagittarius muscles, as it is more about stretching your muscles and mobilizing your joints, by moving you into various yoga like postures, versus rubbing your muscles. 

Then pressure is applied by the practitioners feet, elbow, hands, and knees to release tension. In Thailand this form of bodywork is called nuat phaen boran, meaning “ancient-style massage.”

10. Pick up Pilates

The enhanced strength and postural alignment that is a result from doing Pilates will help the “Archer” hold steady aim at any target on the horizon. 

This form of exercise supports your lower back and strengthening your core to release sciatic and lower back pain. Pilates fosters great mind body connection and awareness.

11. Equine — Assisted Psychotherapy

If you are on a quest to alleviate your anxiety and PTSD from the aftermath of being with a Narcissist, you may want to explore Equine (horse) assisted psychotherapy.

12. Creative Visualization 

Sagittarius energy has an uncanny ability to manifest good fortune. The root of this luck is from the positive attitude, expansive vision, and unwavering faith that is the recipe for success. 

Harness this powerful energy by meditating and visualizing your positive outcome. The life you wish to live and feel the results. Visualize how this makes you feel, see yourself participating and doing what lights you up and allow your subconscious mind to work in unison with your conscious mind to start taking baby steps towards your dreams. 

Not only can this be a relaxing practice, but you an also use it to achieve your goals on the other side of the scary dark abyss of the unknow.

13. Travel

Plan a journey to explore your own backyard, or a foreign country around the world. Enrich your experiences through new adventures and flavors. 

If traveling is not an option, take a tour around your local “village” and find new restaurants, new activities, and new people. 

The result is that you step out of your shell a little, and discover that there is more to life than what your fears have trapped you in, and it is now time to discover!

14. Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is a healing tradition used by cultures worldwide. And it incorporates the oils of plants from all around the globe. Breathe in the uplifting and soothing benefits while using caution in which brand to purchase. 

Carefully select your oils to be organic, as some companies use synthetic fragrances. Also purchase them at your local health food store, or from an organic shop. 

There is no need to be sucked into a narcissistic multi-level company promising you income, while requiring you to buy bundles monthly.

Juniper

Juniper is healing, encourages sleep, grounding, balancing, inspires harmony and is good for energetic protection. 

After a long day of adventuring, or truth seeking, diffuse this oil in your room to provide you balance, uplifting and detoxifying benefits.

Grapefruit

Grapefruit inspires harmony, friendship, positivity, cooperation, purification, and healing. 

Additionally, it helps with fluid retention. Apply massage cream with a few drops of the oil to your hips and thighs to reduce aches and pains. A belly balm of grapefruit essence mixed with coconut oil may help with bloating and liver detoxification. 

Nutmeg

Nutmeg is uplifting, at the same time has sedative properties. It alleviates depression, anxiety, insomnia and promotes deep sleep. 

It, remarkably, lowers high blood pressure and eases stress and anxiety. Diffuse this in a bedroom for if you experience lack of sleep or waking in the middle of the night. 

It also helps in relieving muscle aches, however use in micro doses, no more than 2 teaspoons! — so use 2–4 drops. Use cautiously because large doses may cause side affects, such as nausea, dry mouth, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, agitation, and hallucinations.

15. Flower Essences

Wisdom seeking Sagittarius energy enjoy the benefits of flower essences, as they teach you more about yourself and help you overcome stress and imbalances. 

Vervain (Verbana Officinalis)

Sagittarius is an idealist energy, and moderation is not it’s strong suit. You may push too fast, too hard, and accomplish great things! But your energy and body will pay the price and be overly exhausted leaving other areas of your life to be neglected. 

When you need to balance your pursuits with moderation try Vervain Flower essence. 

Vine (Vitis Vinifera) 

Motivate, don’t Dominate. Sagittarius energy tends to strongly desire others to adopt their viewpoints. As a result causing tension and conflict among lovers and friends. 

Vitis vinifera, is the common grape vine. The Vine Bach® flower remedy encourages the positive potential of determination, without domination. Be flexible, expressive and share your opinions without seeming dominant. Lead without intimidation. 

16. Yoga Poses

Warrior II

This expansively open posture, allows you to gaze in the distance feeling your muscles stretch longer, peacfully. 

Fire Log

This pose opens the hip as well as the gluteus and piriformis muscles. 

High Lunge

This pose lengthens the Sag-ruled quadricep and psoas muscles allowing for more flow and movement. 

Be mindful of information given to you. Be careful if you feel vulnerable. Because the wolf will arrive in sheep’s clothing charming and charismatic. You will feel like they have all the answers and your savior.
